Knowlton “Rip” Sanders graduated from Clemson University, with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1993, and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2006. While in law School, he served on the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal.
Prior to entering and graduating from law school, Rip worked for a corporate relocation and furniture company for 10 years. While working there, he served on the senior leadership team for four years as a vice-president and assisted with a complete reorganization of the company. In his capacity as vice-president, he also organized and operated a commercial floor-covering subsidiary.
In 2010, Rip joined Bernstein and Bernstein as a commercial real estate attorney after practicing law with another firm in their Business, Real Estate and Finance Practice Group. Focusing in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate transactions, Rip has experience with assisting financial institutions, mortgage companies, real estate developers and individuals with general corporate matters as well as business transactions.
His first-hand experience in operating a company, business acumen, and attention to detail are assets to his clients.
Rip was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2006. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Richland County Bar Association. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors for Clemson University, the Board of Directors of the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, and the Board of Directors of Sustainable Midlands.
